Small round coffee table sizes

Most models here are a small round coffee table, since a round top has no corners to bump in a tight room and reaches every seat evenly. Widths run 20.1 to 32 inches, depths 17.5 to 32 inches and heights 10.3 to 23.6 inches, with oval, square and rectangular models too.

Check the height against your seat. A table level with the seat or an inch or two lower is easiest to use, low tables suit deep, low sofas, and taller models sit better with higher seats.

Choosing a coffee table for small living room layouts

A coffee table for a small living room should be about half to two-thirds the length of the sofa and leave clear space to walk around it. Keep about 18 inches between the table and the seat front, and around 30 inches for main walkways where you can.

In a very tight room, a round table in front of a loveseat or between two chairs often works better than a long rectangle, and it leaves room to walk between the table and each chair.

A small wood coffee table here is most often built from MDF panels in a walnut, natural or black finish. Some models combine solid wood with MDF, and select models are solid oak, solid acacia or solid pine.

Other materials include marble, sintered stone, tempered glass, rattan and fiberglass. A glass top keeps a small room looking open, while stone and marble add weight and contrast, and marble needs coasters because it can stain.
