Four fan-shaped plates make up this black HDPE umbrella base weight, and they stack together when you are done with them. That makes storage in a garage or shed far simpler than hauling one big base. The plates are meant to steady the cross base of a cantilever or offset umbrella, and the umbrella and cross base are not included.

Fill them with water or sand through built-in spouts with twist-off caps, which seal against leaks. Four metal hooks secure the frame once the panels are in place. Assembled, the base spans 38.2 inches and stands 3 inches tall. The HDPE is described as crack-resistant and UV-protected.

Construction: plastic.
