Part storage chest and part bench, this espresso shoe storage bench has a back and arms, so it reads more like a small settee by the door than a plain seat. Its front panel carries three carved rectangles with grooved lines that repeat on the backrest, and the arms curve in a soft wave.

Lift the seat and a gas strut holds it up, then lets it close without slamming, so fingers stay safe. Underneath, 2 compartments about 11.6 inches deep sort shoes, blankets or toys. The seat takes up to 200 pounds.

A beige linen cushion softens the top against the dark espresso paint. The back is finished, and assembly is required, with detailed instructions in the box.
