This black hall tree is 35.6 inches wide, with storage in three places. Groove lines on the front panel add texture, and the natural wood-grain bench softens all that black.

Lift the flip-up seat and there is room for seasonal gear underneath. Beside it, a tall cabinet holds four shelves: the first and third adjust to your items, while the second and fourth stay fixed for heavier loads. Three hooks up top take coats and bags.

The bench holds 176 pounds and each shelf 22. It is a minimalist piece that works in a mudroom or hallway, and it needs full assembly.

Construction: MDF panels in a black finish.
