A gray wash with a distressed finish softens the crisp lines of this retro console table. Its legs taper as four square columns, and the three drawers across the top are arranged symmetrically: one big drawer in the center, a smaller one on each side.

Raised and recessed panels on the drawer fronts add depth, and matte metal handles pull them open. Each drawer holds 17 pounds, good for files or small tools. The bottom shelf is roomier, about 47.6 inches long, and supports 66 pounds.

Solid pine and wood panels make up the frame and legs. The top takes 220 pounds. Setup is short: connect the legs and the bottom board.
