This antique white console table borrows from American retro design: tapered square legs, a distressed finish and vintage metal handles on three drawers across the top. The drawer faces have a raised and recessed profile that gives the front some depth.

A big center drawer sits between two smaller ones, each rated for 17 pounds, which suits files, books or a few tools. Under them, a wide shelf holds up to 66 pounds, and the flat top carries 220. The frame and legs combine solid pine with wood panels.

Assembly is simple. Attach the legs and the bottom board, and it is ready in about 20 minutes.

Construction: solid wood, MDF panels and metal frame in a distressed finish.
