An antique white finish with a distressed top gives this entryway console table a farmhouse feel. It is long, 48.8 inches, but only 15.8 inches deep, so it can run along a hallway wall or stand behind a couch without eating floor space.

Storage comes in two layers. Up top are three roomy drawers with metal pulls in a retro style, good for keeping files, glasses and odds and ends out of sight. Underneath, a pair of open shelves takes baskets and books.

The frame and legs are solid pine, combined with wood boards for strength. Put up to 99 pounds on the top: a table lamp, a few photos, even a TV if you use it as a media stand.
