If you want a bedroom that feels a little grand without going formal, this gray velvet king sleigh bed does the heavy lifting. The tall headboard rolls back in a scrolled curve and is covered in deep button tufting, with nailhead trim running along its edges.

Velvet wraps the headboard, the low footboard and the side rails, and dark turned bun feet lift the frame off the floor. The design is listed as contemporary, yet the scrolled shape sits just as comfortably in a traditional room.

Assembled, it measures 98.5 in long, 84 in wide and 53.5 in high.
