Teak Finish Bar Stools

Teak finish bar stools are outdoor bar stools with the warm golden brown color of teak, applied to a solid acacia frame or, on one counter pair, to aluminum. None are made of teak wood. Most pair the acacia frame with a woven wicker back and a water-repellent seat cushion, sold in sets of 2 or 4.

Teak bar stool look on solid acacia

A teak-toned stool brings the look of a classic yacht deck or poolside bar to the patio. Every acacia stool here is solid acacia wood with a teak finish. Acacia is a dense hardwood with natural resistance to rot and insects. The counter pair is aluminum with a wood-grain teak finish, and the pair weighs about 9 lb.

Backs are woven wicker in light gray, black, yellow or light brown, or a wood ladder back on the tallest stool, with built-in footrests on most models.

Outdoor bar stools sized for bars and counters

Bar height teak finish stools have seats about 28 to 29 inches high, right for a 40 to 42 inch outdoor bar or high-top table, and stand 39.8 to 45.8 inches tall overall. The aluminum counter stools stand 39.5 inches tall. Leave 10 to 12 inches between the seat and the underside of the bar, and about 24 inches of bar length per stool.

Stools with a listed rating hold 300 to 330 lb each. Non-slip foot caps on several models keep legs from scratching a deck.

Acacia bar stools with cushions

Most of these stools arrive with cushions in cream, beige or light beige, covered in water-repellent polyester, and some covers unzip for washing. The light gray wicker pair has a woven seat and no cushion. Sets of 2 suit a short bar, and the set of 4 covers a longer bar or an outdoor kitchen island.

Teak finish care through the seasons

Wipe the teak finish with a damp cloth and mild soap, then dry it. Skip the pressure washer, which wears the finish. Bring cushions inside or under cover during long wet spells, and cover the stools in winter so the acacia keeps its color longer.

Frequently asked questions

What is acacia wood?
Acacia wood is a dense tropical hardwood with a warm golden to brown tone and a pronounced grain. The teak finish bar stools here are solid acacia wearing a teak finish, not teak wood, apart from one aluminum counter pair. Acacia gives a similar look to teak and holds up well outdoors with basic care.
Is acacia wood good for outdoor furniture?
Acacia wood is a good choice for outdoor furniture because it is a dense hardwood that holds up to sun and rain with basic care. The acacia bar stools here carry a teak finish and are made for patios and outdoor bars. Cover them in winter and store cushions under cover during long wet spells.
How tall are bar stools?
Bar stools have a seat about 28 to 31 inches high, made for a 40 to 42 inch bar or high-top table. The teak finish acacia bar stools here have seats about 28 to 29 inches high and stand 39.8 to 45.8 inches tall overall. Leave 10 to 12 inches of knee room under the bar.
How do you clean teak finish outdoor bar stools?
Clean teak finish outdoor bar stools with a soft cloth, mild soap and warm water, then rinse and dry them. Avoid pressure washers and harsh cleaners, which wear the finish. Brush wicker backs with a soft brush, and spot clean cushion covers or unzip them for washing on models with removable covers.
Can acacia bar stools stay outside all year?
Acacia bar stools can stay outside through the season, since acacia is a dense hardwood that tolerates getting wet. Wipe off standing water, keep the cushions dry under cover in heavy rain, and cover or store the stools over winter. That keeps the teak finish even and the wood from graying early.
