This gray pergola kit is an open frame that runs 12x16 ft and gives vines a triple-level canopy of beams to loop through. Grapes, ivy and passionflower all take well to it, and the shade gets denser as they climb.

Fir wood posts, diagonal braces and evenly spaced beams make up the frame, with L-shaped metal plates and expansion screws included. It measures 192.4 inches wide by 143.9 inches deep and stands 88.4 inches tall. The plates and screws mount it to solid ground such as concrete, and the three-story beam design gives it a clean, modern look.

Construction: solid fir and metal frame.
