From the front it looks like a gray sideboard: fluted doors, faux drawer fronts and gold-tone handles on a raised gold-tone metal base. Pull it open and a queen bed unfolds, ready for overnight guests.

It suits a studio apartment, a loft or a home office that has to double as a guest room. During the day the top holds a lamp, books or a radio like any cabinet would. Add a mattress up to 6 inches thick, and the bed supports up to 400 lbs.
